Thomas J. Miller
President and Chief Executive Officer

Tom Miller is the President and Chief Executive Officer of ALI Solutions, bringing more than 20 years of consumer risk management and predictive analytic experience. Since joining ALI in 1996, he has provided risk management consulting and collaboration for dozens of ALI Solutions customers, published several thought leadership articles in leading industry publications and has presented a variety of topics related to risk management and analytics at industry conferences.

Tom has served many roles and responsibilities over his tenure at ALI. Most recently he held the position of Senior Vice President of Corporate Development where he had responsibility for managing the company’s product strategy, marketing and strategic partnerships. Prior to that, he served as the company’s Chief Financial Officer.

Tom came to ALI Solutions from Chase Manhattan Bank N.A., where his most recent position was Vice President, Bankcard Credit Risk Management. In his tenure at Chase, he managed customer credit policy development and implementation for its bankcard and unsecured lending portfolios.

He received an MBA from New York University, Stern School of business and a B.S. in Commerce/Finance from the University of Virginia, McIntire School of Commerce.


Drew Schaal
Chief Financial Officer

Drew Schaal brings to ALI Solutions proven financial leadership in both dynamic technology starts ups and highly structured corporate finance organizations.

Before joining the company, Drew was a CFO consultant at BridgePoint Consulting. There, he provided CFO expertise to multiple early-stage software companies. He led companies through internal rounds of funding and oversaw the financial aspects of a company sale. Prior to his tenure at BridgePoint Consulting, Drew was Vice President, Finance, at ClearCommerce Corporation. There, Drew played a key role coordinating the financial aspects of the sale of the Company to eFunds. Drew has also held positions of increasing responsibility at Exterprise Inc., Knowledge Discovery One, Inc., and IBM Corporation.

Drew earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Indiana University.


Chip Harmon
Senior Vice President Sales

An accomplished industry veteran with some 30 years in the software industry, Chip Harmon has a proven track record of achievement across management, business development, sales management, leadership and sales for a variety of analytic and technology companies.

Chip comes to ALI Solutions from Pervasive Software where he was a member of their executive team. As General Manager for their Integration Products division, Chip turned the Division into a profitable business, while successfully growing new revenue streams. Before joining Pervasive, Harmon led North American sales for Hyperion Solutions, a large business intelligence solution provider. In addition, he has held positions at Ingres Corporation and Cognos Corporation, as well as at several other well-known companies.

Chip is a graduate of Stephen F. Austin University, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration.


Penny J. Merian
Vice President Product Marketing and Management

An experienced product marketing and product management professional, Penny Merian's experience spans multiple product categories from price management/optimization, data analytics, fraud management, security, mobile/wireless computing, embedded software, development tools, systems management, field force automation and enterprise productivity solutions for a variety of industries including financial services, telecom, automotive, high-tech and retail.

Prior to joining ALI Solutions, Penny provided product and marketing leadership for eClerx, specializing in data analytics and price management solutions. She established the company's price management practice, including the evaluation and productization of service and software solutions, re-defining product mix for optimal penetration, developing product roadmaps & strategies, performing market analysis/segmentation, managing product launches, creating target specific product positioning, optimal pricing, creating sales tools, developing and negotiating contracts, working with press/analysts/industry influencers and P&L creation. Penny was credited for establishing eClerx as the leading solution provider in the market space. Prior to eClerx, Penny has held several leading management positions in product marketing, strategic marketing and product development where she defined, developed and executed a global product strategy that delivered products on time and under budget which exceeded market expectations.

Penny received her MBA from Wharton Business School and her BS with honors in Computer Engineering/Management Science from the University of California, San Diego.


Paula Klante
Vice President of Engineering

Paula Klante is a senior engineering executive with over 20 years experience in a broad range of technologies and a proven track record for delivering quality commercial software. She has repeatedly built highly motivated development teams and managed geographically distributed engineering groups, India offshore teams, and Japanese and Chinese partners. She has a balanced experience base from start-ups to large public companies.

Before joining the company, Paula was Director of Engineering at Pervasive Software. There, she led the Integration Business Unit engineering functions that included Product Development, Quality Engineering, Documentation, and Customer Support teams. She directed the 75 distributed and offshore engineers and drove quality and process improvements.

Prior to her tenure at Pervasive, Paula was Vice President of Engineering at Liaison Technology. There, Paula played a key role developing and delivering the initial product set and building the engineering team. Paula has also held a series of positions with increasing responsibility at JetForm (now Adobe), Lotus, and Cognos.

Paula holds a Bachelor of Mathematics in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo.


Dan Cone
Vice President of Sales

Dan Cone brings over twenty years of consultative sales and business development experience within the predictive analytic, billing and payments and electronic commerce arena's. Over the past two decades, Dan has assisted numerous providers of credit and collection services to increase sales, industry awareness and improve operating performance.

Prior to joining ALI Solutions, Dan was a founder and member of the executive team at Incurrent Solutions (now Online Resources). There he directed sales and business development, establishing market definition, pricing and value propositions, rollinging out direct sales activities within the card marketplace and growing the start-up into a profitable entity. Prior to Incurrent Cone led Worldwide sales at PaySys International (now First Data).

Dan earned his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Information Systems from The Florida State University.
